The house is coming together!

We are so fortunate to have received some pieces from Oma and Papa's loving home. I believe that objects have and create emotional bonds. I strive to encorporate this idea in creating our new home. The new items are the coffee and end tables, the book shelf, and Papa's 3-dimensional topographic maps. Here are some new pictures of our living room as it evolves.

Snowed In

We are spending the weekend "snowed in" and completely enjoying ourselves. We had a family movie night, read a thousand books, played board games, painted...Heck! I even broke out the absurd amount of play dough we have acquired over the years. Ryan and I were also able to tick away at the infinite amount of boxes we still have down in the garage while the kids rested. It has been glorious!!!

All this family time and restfulness was much needed after our wonderfully busy Christmas vacation (if you can call it a "vacation"). We spent a weekend with Mac Daddy and Grammy and all the aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Then headed to our Gigi's for a few days and spent the week visiting with the Phillips fam on that side. Santa visited us on Christmas morning at Gigi's house and then we hustled back up the mountain to Nana's in Knoxville for a beautiful holiday with the Petty fam. Next came the Calhoun clan to Knoxville where we had our first Christmas celebration here in our new casa!

Next, we headed out to Nashville to spend New Year's with the other Phillips family.

We had such a ball and enjoyed everyone so much!!! Keep your eyes peeled for more Christmas pics as I am able to upload them.
Love,
Our Little Henley Clan
